While some will write papers on what a GPS can do, Stakemill writes the sales, we simply sell more GIS and GPS units to the end users than the others. So much in fact that we have two GPS models from Ashtech that no other dealer has, the newest model is the FASTMapper 100 and our other is a PROMapper 100. Both models are also available as 200 Dual Frequency models.
Stakemill has the units in stock ready to ship, remember only STAKEMILL offers the units that will read FASTMapper Series or PROMapper Series on the opening screen, no other dealer can offer these units. Our units come packed with features not found on other models along with software that allows for Mapping or Survey grade data collection.

Joe Weaver of Ashtech lends a hand to Sean Scully of Stakemill while installing the first Ashtech Proflex 500 CORS
Congratulations to Stakemill on the installation of their new Ashtech ProFlex 500 Continuous Operating Reference Station (CORS)! The ProFlex 500 was given this name due to its interoperability, versatility of function and flexible connectivity. It can be used as a base station, utilized in a marine environment, machine control, or as an RTK backpack. The combination of Ashtech’s ProFlex 500, coupled with a subscription to the eGPS (egps.net) network, makes this one of the newest – and most precise – reference stations in the area! These new reference station units allow continuously transmitted raw data to the eGPS network, the largest privately owned GPS network in the Southeast.
Joe Weaver from Ashtech fine tuning the CORS antenna
With the professional and exceptional technical assistance from Lance Andre (eGPS), the configuration time is minimal, and the installation was completed in a timely manner (with the Active L1/L2 Antcom Choke Ring Antenna mast secured to a commercial building).
For complete details about the Ashtech ProFlex 500 CORS see www.stakemill.com
With this new GLONASS system, Stakemill expects to accelerate our GPS sales from five digits figures, to over six digits a year – thanks to a strong supplier that believes in stakemill, and partnering with an exceptional network service.

The CORS units feature a SIM card function (with an unlimited data plan from wireless providers; AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon) that will sync with the Internet, and receive GPS correction updates from eGPS – reducing error in network rovers down to almost millimeter accuracy!

DeLorme continues to make deep inroads into the North American energy sector with its XMap GIS Enterprise software. The company recently announced it has sold over 10,000 copies of XMap in the oil and gas, electric, solar, and wind energy markets.
“Achieving this milestone reinforces XMap’s reputation as a sensible GIS solution,” said Geoffrey Ives, Director of Professional Sales at DeLorme. “North American energy managers are using DeLorme’s software tools to increase productivity through GPS navigation, to provide controlled access to corporate geodata, and to enhance safe decision-making in asset management.”
Ives went on to say that XMap is rapidly gaining adherents in developing energy markets. “When deployed with a topographic land base map,” he continued, “XMap is perfect for site assessment and community collaboration and presentations supporting wind and solar energy proposals.”
With XMap, DeLorme has staked out a position as an affordable, easy-to-use alternative to many of the highly expensive, difficult-to-master GIS packages on the market. The XMap Enterprise GIS suite is a three-tiered solution that puts just the right level of capability into its intended users’ hands; from field technicians to GIS administrators to top-level enterprise managers.
Along with DeLorme’s award winning topographic and street-level base-map, XMap provides a wide range of GIS capabilities, including:
Affordable, easy-to-use field access to enterprise GIS data
Support for a wide variety of data formats, including ESRI Shapefile, MapInfo and AutoCAD
Support for ESRI ArcSDE
MrSID and GeoTIFF imagery viewing
Access to corporate libraries of aerial photographs while in the field
Extensive GPS navigation and routing tools
Pipeline stationing visualization and querying
API third-party application integration for One-Call and work-order automation

Is Grid Lock keeping you from work both on the road and inside your office?
Modern metropolitan areas such as the US Interstate System and most of our countries highways are characterized by high traffic volumes and outdated road networks. The planning of a distribution network for a company that operates a fleet of vehicles or a single vehicle is a task of major importance and undertaking. Traditional planning methods require a lot of time, money and human resources and deprive the company of the great advantage of speed and flexibility in adjusting its distribution network to the current needs and changes in distribution locations.
Thanks to the detailed and up-to-date digital maps and the use of modern GIS tools, Stakemill’s Control Point Instruments is able to offer full support in this field, including: Geocoding of your customer’s database. In case there is need for corrections, further elaboration and normalization of the database, we do all the necessary processing so as to get a complete display of all distribution points.
Clustering of distribution sectors according to your demands (maximum route length, maximum number of distribution points, time-distances, truck carrying capacity criteria e.t.c)
Smart route planning and optimization using “intelligent” algorithms, which take into consideration the traffic flow, the road conditions, and applying shortest path or shortest time criteria, including the capability of re-routing in case of blocked road, e.g. due to public works.
Printing each vehicle’s distribution sector and detailed route. Real time tracking is an option via cell phone. We offer solutions either as services or by installing and customizing all the necessary applications and geographical data at your company.
